Loved to read your thoughts! I agree that it isn’t very Noir and it’s as polished and elegant as most Chanels are. To me Coco Noir was a transition from Coco Mademoiselle to something more classic and mature. I think CN is at its best when it’s cold and dry, working wonderfully on skin and fabrics.

I think it’s good old-school storytelling and tbh historical accuracy these days is mostly used as an excuse to show gratuitous violence and women’s oppression.

So far in the show, Maid Marian has socialist ideas, and Rob’s band of outcasts turned outlaws has a girl, a neurodivergent kid, and a Little John who found strength & courage protecting his mother (and himself) from an abusive father.

I’ve been wearing it for a few days now. I think it’s more wearable in the sense of being more polished, discreet and not much of a shape shifter. To me, the perfect world would be combining the tart opening of the EDP and the drydown of the Intense.

It was the eucalyptus note that got me curious about BVF, but I couldn’t isolate it. I wonder if eucalyptus, combined with imortelle, is what gives vanilla its green facet. I guess that imortelle may also be responsible (or partially responsible) for the “solar” effect.

The salty, green and slightly smoky vanilla sets the dreamy beach-y mood that remains for a few hours. This is style of (green) vanilla is a bit reminiscent of Eau Duelle EDT and Angélique Noir.

I love her! Particularly the patchouli. And I think it brings different facets on skin (warm, sweet, spicy-musky patchouli) and fabrics (dry, floral-aldehydes, earthy patchouli) that when combined make for a great autumn & winter scent.

Note: the grapefruit and the citrus/fruity notes are a bit reminiscent of Chance Eau Tendre.

I’m not sure what Coco Noir’s color would be. Perhaps it’s a palette going from forest green to burgundy with something brighter in between.

In hindsight, Hurley’s endgame makes a lot of sense. From the beginning he was empathetic and perhaps the character with better diplomatic skills. Although pragmatic, he could help those who survived not only in terms of basic needs (water, food, shelter), but also in terms of emotional needs.
