the fun part about today is that if my PI had done this errand himself he would have learned a valuable lesson about thoroughness. but he didn't, so he learns nothing, and i just got paid to sit in a waiting room and desultorily sort my inbox for three hours. everybody loses (except me, kind of)

I remain trapped at the visa office with more than 20 people ahead of me. in theory this place closes in 20 minutes. i might be about to go home for the day with my PI’s whole identity

this clickbait headline is actually harming trans people by acting like it's too late to pressure Newsom and it pisses me off!

Newsrooms know that false panic goes viral so they intentionally lie to everyone to drive up ad revenue.

Meanwhile, it demotivates activists and distracts from the fight.

The gender education veto is bad, but far from the most important trans rights bill on his desk.

sometimes my job is spreadsheets and other times it’s spending several hours at the Chinese consulate because my time is harder to waste than my PI’s. honestly it’s just nice to be out and about
