If you're only getting 2% raises each year, you cannot keep up.

I posted to a Johnny Harris video on ICE, after reading through the comments. People are not paying attention.
Immigrants aren't evil. They aren't stealing jobs. Even the government and big businesses know. This whole ICE thing is about racism and right wing populism, to exploit such racism for fascists to grab power. That's why they don't need your vote anymore, because they already used fear of immigrants to get into power and tear it apart. This attack on immigrants isn't even about elections, it's about appeasing those who were reached by right wing populist messaging. It's the EXACT same thing as Hitler and the Nazis did with Jewish and disabled people. While they kept blaming marginalized groups, locking them up in detention centers, and trying to deport them en-mass, they did what they could to cement Nazi power in the German government, destroying systems, arresting lawyers and judges, and so forth. What we saw at the end, what's widely taught, the Holocaust, happened near the end of Hitler's regime, when they ran out of room at the detention centers.

Got an initial working example on my AIS IRL project. Still working with a dummy model, so the results aren't good whatsoever, but the prototype app is written and now I can work more on the model hypertuning.

As an example with a dummy model, the right are real AIS traces of ships around Puerto Rico. The left are the reward for the "state" of that individual trace, for just one batch of data, output from a dummy model.

Left) Given a trained model with a dummy architecture, reward for each state is evaluated. This model is not accurate and this is just a test run. The first 250 points were fed into the model to obtain one of the parameters, the reward given the state R(s). In this case, state is some representation of the position, heading, and a few other features. Yellow are high-reward states and Purple are low reward. This is purely conceptual, and there's no guarantee that my implementation will workout to something beneficial. But, to enhance visualization, the plan is to build an app that can switch between the IRL overlays for R(s), R(s,a), pi(a|s), and P(s'|s,a). Reward given state. Reward given state-action. Policy of action given state. Transition probability of future state s' given state-action.

I did something fun.

I made my own GUI for visualizing memory mapped AIS data. This is gonna play into the IRL-MCE algorithm I'm working on when it comes time to visualize rewards and policies.

I'm sorry, but your boy is still better at optimizing code than AI.
AI suggested an improvement on my code by using Dask, and obtained 48.61 seconds per iteration over 20,000 entries. Despite giving AI all the relevant information, I figured out on my own what could be stored in memory and implemented a hash-map that defeats the Dask memory-mapped implementation, with 21.09 seconds / iteratiion for 20,000 entries.

This comes from the classical reinforcement learning representation, for example, the grid-world in Wumpus (which I described in the alt-text). Each state would be the grid number, but each action would be "up", "down", "left", or "right". But in reality, we can have continuous states and actions.
The Wumpus example, is an agent wants to learn how to navigate through a space to obtain a treasure, while avoiding the Wumpus. If it steps into a "breeze" state, it will indicate it is close to a hole and provide lower reward. If it steps into a "Stench" state, it can smell the Wumpus, giving it another lower reward score. If it goes into a hole or hits the Wumpus, it is dead.
