It would take a two-word amendment to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to subject ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers to the same liability for constitutional violations that local and state officers currently face.

When my pastor friend came to me and asked me if I would adopt my sons, I didn't even consider the fact that they were of Latino descent. I just said yes. Now, nearly every day I have to worry about my Puerto Rican sons bring kidnapped by ICE. This is just wrong.
