Lots of fun making Pine Marten feeder boxes with our friend & ecologist, Gareth Harris, a few days ago.

Based on a design from @vincentwt.bsky.social they are made from larch felled and milled on site.

Martens are key woodland predators. We can’t wait to see the results!

To help insects this autumn, let native plants grow in a wild corner. Teasels, dandelions, dead nettles and hemp-agrimony all flower into autumn, providing nectar for butterflies and bumblebees.

On the way to photograph the dragonflies I disturbed this beautiful young roe #deer happily grazing away in the middle field.

She checked me out before deciding to high tail it (literally!).

I’ll never get bored of seeing them. Really beautiful creatures.

Ponds are vital for amphibians & a biodiversity hub supporting a wide range of other wildlife - insects, birds and mammals.

Our new willows are sprouting!

These were planted just a few weeks ago by students from Wiltshire college.

We got them from our lovely friends in Bradford on Avon - it will be exciting to see which species are in the mix.
