I still tend towards the English pronunciations out of habit but both are just how Japan does vowels rather than anything specific to FF or those names!

I think this is bang on, and gets at a sense of what I see in play with stuff from Dwarf Fortress and Qud to Rimworld to Crusader Kings and the Sims: a desire to understand the world, whether a familiar or an alien one, through play

Here's the original line art for Katsuya Terada's #PrinceofPersia piece. I'm not sure its ever been scanned. This is from my copy of Rakuga King 寺田克也ラクガキング which I've been meaning to de-bind for better scans anyway. This is at 600dpi but I did it at 2400dpi & will upload it later

I feel like the comeback story is only made better by the funny wrinkle that while they were "gone" they had lost all prestige but I'm pretty sure they were more profitable than ever off the back of pachinko/casino stuff. Now they're back making good shit *and* money.

It was such a throwaway mode in a couple of the games, but I still to this day go back to the one in Burnout Revenge with friends -- each course is a great little puzzle and it lets you play with I think 8 people. Good potential for hijinks as even when you go in with a plan it's easy to mess up.

SF's one great movie palace reopening with a week of Sam Smith concerts after having all its seats gutted out... what a fuckin bummer man.
