1716. A man comes to a village, "DOCTOR MIRACLE" on one side of his cart. He's selling a potion, only one silver, that makes dicks harder.

1717. Many dicks fall off, gangrenous.

1725. Same man is back with an elixir, only two gold, guaranteed to grow dicks back, bigger.

And the dickless queue up.

Welcome to Sandringham Mr. President. Just a few things. I am the King of Canada, the Treason Act remains in force and being a US citizen didn't save William Joyce. Guards!!

The Canadians seem to have had it broadly right since 1974. Perhaps that is why Trump is planning some kind of Special Military Operation.
UK laws can't prevent billionaires/Musk from funding political parties.

Payments can be routed through UK friends, corporate subsidiaries. Shell companies have been used.

UK profits can be manufactured to make donations.

Total ban is the only effective remedy.

How our democracy has been hijacked by corporations and wealthy elites
The only effective remedy is to ban all private donations, or bribes, to political parties.

Bloody Hell! And the BBC News is full of Gregg "Celeb".
A genuinely shocking development. South Korean President declares martial law.

Reports that the country's military has announced the suspension of all parliamentary activity.

The opposition leader has called on the public to gather outside the Parliament.

Am I alone in seeing the irony of enshittification being the *Macquarie* Dictionary's neologism of the year? OK, I know the publisher is Pan Macmillan and nothing to do with the former owners of Thames Water, but the coincidence is striking.

If Trump is the monster from America's id, who is Doctor Morbius?
I heard Trump described as America’s id. The ego and super ego parts of the US are too weak to dominate and direct its basic instincts at the moment.

The precolumbian peoples of the Americas reportedly had animal spirit guides. Some of our recent prominent Tories seem to have had vegetable spirit guides.

The most sophisticated electorate in the galaxy has just consigned the mere idea of one-nation Conservatism to history. Whoever the faithful elect will now lead them down the rabbit-hole of Farajneeshism.

The Chartist gathering of 1848 on Kennington Common so spooked the Govt that they enclosed it. Want to demonstrate within a Freeport/SEZ? Forget it, they'll be Corporate Property.

More than citizen journalism. It's where respectable journos like Peter Oborne go when they fall foul of corrupt media moguls.
If on Twitter you were a Tweep, does that mean on BS you’re a Bleep?

So…we’re up to 6.9k followers. Can you help us reach 7k today by quote posting this and telling your followers why they should follow the Bylines Network, home to the UK’s biggest citizen journalism project?

Many thanks. 🙏

A level maths + calculus. You take plenty, get it under the control of the shareholders whose wealth it is your job to maximise, and by turning it into scarcity you fulfil your mission. This is our model of capitalism. Extractive and exploitative. It does't have to be this way.
