The perfect draw for Scotland: start with a calamitous draw with Haiti, follow it up with defeat to Morocco despite Morocco playing the 2nd half with 10-men, then take a battering from Brazil.

From inside the ground last night, that Raya save last night reminded me peak David Seaman - when you'd only know he'd actually saved it when you saw the replay on the Jumbotron. At full speed, it just looked like it hit the bar.

That’s Dan Burn out of Newcastle’s game against City.

Obviously hilarious but come on...that's just not a penalty.
October 25, 2025 at 8:29 PM
In the Spurs game just now, VAR (correctly) stated that a penalty was not to be given because "the contact came after the ball was played". Fair enough....so presumably it should have worked the other way round last night? I'm sure Howard Webb will be able to explain this on his next TV show

Blimey. The Alzheimer’s mascot thing is surprisingly moving.
Well done everybody involved.

I am in the extremely fortunate position of attending all of our Home games the live experience has never felt more at odds with SkyTV or online one. I'm reading today that we spent 3 minutes celebrating our equaliser - just an outright lie.

I thought Amorin was too conservative there. City were there for the taking.

What's this? Chelsea were cheating all that time?

The game yesterday reminded me of ours v City a couple of years ago when we won 1-0 with a deflected Martinelli strike. Both sides seemed happy with a draw but both games pivoted on a single, rare moment. That’s all.

Weren’t we all hopeful that United would be taking points off City/Liverpool just a few days ago?

The Trossard pay rise makes more sense now

Hot take: Ekitike’s Liverpool career will be short-lived and he’s going to Newcastle in a player+cash deal for Isak.

Gyokeres: did anyone else think that he got flagged offside a bit hastily on a couple of occasions yesterday? One from an Odegaard pass that put him clear down the left channel seemed especially iffy.

Ah PGMOL…how we’ve missed you.
August 17, 2025 at 1:16 PM
The idea that Mikel is under pressure because he’s failed to win the Prem so far is nonsense. Let’s say we’d won it in 22/23 but missed out by 2pts the following season and 10 the next…he’d almost certainly be under the same scrutiny as he is now - maybe even already gone this summer.
August 17, 2025 at 11:22 AM
There’s a lot of talk about “no more excuses” for Mikel, particularly in relation to injuries last season, but I’m struggling to think of a single time that he’s tried to make any.

I suppose I don't watch too many non-Arsenal games but are they always refereed like this? VAR allowing DOGSOs go unpunished, generous penalties, no yellow cards for late and deliberate fouls.

I hope Real Madrid aren't in the market for a new left-back because they've just had a close-up look at the best one in the world.

I can’t get my head round MLS’s performance last night. Incredible stuff.
