the reason right-wingers refuse to assign the same weight to right-wing violence as left-wing violence is that right-wing violence is built into the maintainence of the status quo and left-wing violence is contrary to it.

also that uncalled-for violence is inherently left or madness-coded.

Theyre so stuck on "government can be powerful enough to hurt you" that they want to rip every bit of it away, even programs that DO help people, based on their ideology of wanting as little government as possible just in case someone tells them they cant use a slur.

There is a HUGE difference between "I want to focus on being a SAHM, my spouse makes good money and we can afford to do that" vs "the only choice for a woman should be SAHM and I'll make that choice for you and fight for it"

I don't know where this revisionism has come from about the suffragettes - people saying "if the suffragettes were around today, they'd be considered terrorists."

The suffragettes were arrested and tortured, sexually assaulted and beaten by the state. They *were* considered terrorists!
