SSA… this is making the rounds. Too tired to read into it or to check out the legitimacy right now but possibility it’s correct and that would reframe things somewhat

Those guys look just like the white clean cut all American guys in a game from my childhood called “Mystery Date”. Yes that was from the 1960s. In my Suburban town, it was very white.

If you come across a bird that is struck a window put it somewhere quiet and warm. If it doesn’t perk up then please find a wildlife rehab because it might be swelling in the brain or an eye ulcer.

“ I’m so pretty…. I’m so pretty.” This mandarin duck drake should not be in my yard. But isn’t he glorious? #wildlifephotography #birds #nature #Mandarinduck

A throwback when we first brought home, the kitten brothers from the SPCA. They were found in an area park that obviously somebody had abandoned them. #caturday #cats . Elliott and Oliver

Every day now there is a #greatblueheron and a belted kingfisher fishing the pond. These are through the window photos because they’re shy and cranky at the same time. But it looks like it’s some kind of prehistoric dinosaur walking through the greens. #birds #wildlifephotography #heron

Cheeky #bluejay taking a peanut. Frequently a Bluejay will come and clear out the feeder area by calling like a Cooper’s Hawk. Very clever birds. #birds #wildlifephotography #bird #corvids

This is a fifth instar monarch caterpillar. I startled it when I put clean milkweed in the tank and so it decided to play dead. They aren’t very palatable because of the toxins they get for milkweed but they’re not impervious to dangers #macromonday #monarch #vertebrate

The monarch butterfly eggs hatch in about five days into tiny first instar caterpillars. The monarch lays one egg per plant usually because they eat an awful lot. This tiny little white caterpillar with a black head turns around and eats the egg shell. #wildlifephotography #macromonday #monarch

I watch this monarch lay her eggs, which is usually one egg per milkweed, and I collected some eggs before they can be infected with something. You can see the little eggs and they hatch in five days. #monarchs #wildlifephotography #macro #invertebrates
