The *best* writing advice I can give is that if you think "this is OK" while writing, your audience will think it's just OK.
If you think "oh my God I can't wait for them to see this, this is my best work ever" *or* "this is torture and the worst writing I've ever done" the audience will love it.

One of the greatest Hollywood blockbusters of the 21st century — THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS — was released four years ago (Dec. 22, 2021). It has a lot to teach us about cinema, art, and ourselves, I promise you.

I don't think Apple will understand how much I hate the new 'Liquid Glass' iTunes layout. Every single change makes it worse.

Just over a week until you can get into the supermarket to buy food. Just over two weeks until you can't get into the gym. Hate this time of year.

Rings Around The World by Super Furry Animals popped into my head. Probably the first time I've thought about it since MTV2 in about 2001. Now it won't go away.

Christmas Ident Calendar Day 15. BBC2's '2' stayed with Wallace & Gromit in 1995 to promote A Close Shave, which was watched by 10.62m on Christmas Eve. This presentation won a BAFTA for Best Graphic Design. Look out for the nod, the wink & the raised glass at the end.

Disney: Holy shit here's a billion dollars

Altman: the machine loses more than that each week but thank you. Soon it will become god.

How many times do we need to point this out?
By appeasing the far right, you do not weaken it. You strengthen it.
While weakening your own position.
There's a vast amount of academic research showing this.
But Labour will not listen.

So the reward for a company having an almost miraculously aspirational commercial and artistic year at the box office is to be bought by the one company with the most incentive (and seeming desire) to wipe movie theaters off the map? We’d almost be better off if Warner Bros.’s 2025 slate had tanked.
The Cold, Cruel Logic Behind Netflix Potentially Buying Warner Bros.
Buying one of the five remaining theatrical heavyweights for the purpose of removing the most aspirational theatrical distributor from the board would be in line with the streamer's recent history.

This.
If this goes thru it will accelerate Hollywood’s precipitous decline. Thousands laid off. Creatives w/fewer studios willing to bid on projects. Fewer choices of what to watch for consumers. Possibly a death blow for theatrical filmgoing. Just terrible news all around
