Moby Dick is my favorite book, I’m due for a reread myself as it’s been a few years. Big fan of Billy Budd too but that’s a small club, it’s hated by the majority I think! Oh, big bird lover too, my favorite is woodpeckers!

Huge Nautical history fan, big fan of Melville and Billy Budd, the museum at New Bedford is amazing.

Those are two phenomenal resources, thank you! So many stories; Navy Captain Buchanan stands out. He resigned when he thought Md was seceding; he tried to come back in when they did not and Welles refused to take him back…poor decision on Welles part!

That’s an interesting topic too; in ports around the country and around the world Navy and Marine officers from the Southern states had to make difficult decisions upon secession or after Ft Sumter.

I realize Snoopy is now all over the place and many feel different but I am a fan of it all; the strip, specials, merchandise etc. I respect Watterson’s view but also Schulz’s; his kids and grandkids are doing quite well!

My wife is 65 today! She officially retired yesterday so we’ve been celebrating her birthday and retirement this weekend. Happy Birthday to you too!
