I asked a NYT spokesperson if the paper's guidelines required Brooks to disclose that he had attended an event with Epstein in-person and this is what they said.

Again, ICE tries to make you care less about this person by claiming that he had a robbery and drug priors, a disgusting, shameful move. They also include some words I don't recall seeing before about how great the medical care is in ICE custody, which is a lie.
