We haven't seen any real innovation after the web - and that was 13 years ago. Do you agree? I do agree. The problem is that it is so hard to anticipate a revolution. Tim Berners-Lee was solving his own little problem but did so by developing a tool needed by the whole world. Well, you don't get to do that very often. So while it is easy to complain about a lack of subsequent innovation, what we're talking about is something comparable to the telephone and we don't spend very much time sitting around lamenting that we haven't replaced that device after 128 years, do we?

A chart missing the labels, cropped on purpose, except for years along the bottom, ranging from 1977 to 2025 (continuing). There are six colours striping along horizontally, but they appear discontinuous, moving down and up without joining — every colour is represented only once at any given time. There is one exception: There is a gap in every colour at 1986-1987. All but one line remains continuous from 1987 through the 2010s, with the bottom one continuous from 1991. The bottom two are discontinuous at 2013 and the other four at 2017. There are various other discontinuities in the 1970s and 2020s, but the 1970s are marked with black lines for each year, signifying something happened. Each line generally goes down a notch to become a lower horizontal line when it “changes”, but the top line is the only one that has returned to its original position.

They join the motorway in a way that indicates directionality, but not road lanes: Therefore this diagram's purpose is to show routing options, and not to suggest lane guidance. As a secondary purpose this diagram also shows road design. Where the green motorway meets the blue one, it attaches to a roundabout bridge elevated over the blue motorway. At the bottom, the horizontal grey roads attach to the green motorway in yet another way, indicating that the green motorway may only be entered towards or exited from the north. No southern access is available at that interchange.

In summary, just run them both and keep restarting after each one until your symptoms go away. Some of them still have their data in place, not overwritten by new data. Others are now merely ghosts and, should the user persist, would be resurrected as wildly corrupt files. Nevertheless, sometimes this holds value for the right person with the right reason.
