at moments like this i think about the conservative cabinet ministers in stephen harper’s government who would openly argue climate change would actually be good for canada. if we lived in a just world, they’d be publicly shamed for stifling climate action for a decade.
Never thought I’d see part of the St. John’s metro area being evacuated due to wildfires. Hopefully the order doesn’t spread to more of Paradise and CBS, and they can get the fire under control.

We absolutely have to stop using Facebook and Twitter to warn the public about things that could kill them - and we need to do whatever it takes to help local and state government break this habit.
