"Murdering a mother of a 6-year-old child, you're in the wrong place in your soul. God help you! Her son's name is Emerson; Emerson does not have a mother today because one of you murdered a woman in cold blood yesterday!" -Minneapolis ICE protester scolds line of ICE agents ⬇️

AOC: What we saw today was a criminal murder a woman while she was trying to flee for her life. What we saw today was a manifestation of every American’s worst nightmare: their government turning into a tyranny.

AOC: “ICE has less accountability than virtually any law enforcement agency in the U.S. — yet are some of the most well funded, operating with impunity & we just saw them murder an American citizen in cold blood — I hope this is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The agency must be reined in”

The U.S. constitutional system rests on three co-equal branches of government.

Can someone please pass this message to Congress . Thanks

I hate to break it to you, but heavily-armed government militias are roaming unchecked through US cities and shooting human rights observers dead in the streets. That's happening in our country.

Today once again proved that everyday citizens protesting their government are braver than the titans who own the largest media corporations, run the biggest law firms and lead the most powerful technology companies.

After Columbine I thought we would move heaven and earth to prevent mass shootings.

We did nothing and now they are almost a daily occurrence.

Today we watched an ICE thug brutally murder an American citizen in cold blood. A young mother.

If we do nothing this too will become a daily occurrence.

In just a month, 10,000 people in MA dropped their health insurance. That's 2x more than last year.

10,000 mommas, grandpas, aunts, neighbors, and friends who looked at their bill and said "I can't do this."

Because Republicans won’t lift a finger to lower health care costs.

Authoritarian movements don’t fracture cleanly. They shatter. MAGA is no longer aligned around a single center of gravity. Once that center weakens, the whole thing starts spinning off in unpredictable directions. The cracks always show in the loudest, most radical voices first!

Most Americans agree we need to get money out of politics. If that takes a constitutional amendment, then that's what we have to do. And if that's going to take years, then it's all the more reason to begin pushing now.

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

About half of what it was going to cost to fully fund SNAP in November during the shutdown.

Best case: The President of the United States knew about a pedophilia ring and did nothing to stop it.

Medium case: He also used his office to protect the perpetrators.

Worst case: Because he was one of the perpetrators.

Mike Johnson is loud and clear: Republicans won’t lower health care costs. They are not on your side.
In the most predictable development ever, Mike Johnson is not committing to hold a House vote on ACA subsidies

This isn’t a “pause in services.”
It’s chemo delayed.
It’s insulin rationed.
It’s cancer caught later instead of sooner.
It’s veterans waiting months for appointments they already earned.
This is harm by design.

I think a thing we'll learn tonight is that people fucking hate what is going on and they will straight ticket vote against anyone involved in starving people while pillaging the country and kidnapping their neighbors. I don't think it matters at all who that person is.

"The Republican Party has created an entirely avoidable mess for itself. By taking a resolute stand in favor of making healthcare unobtainable for many Americans, and now threatening to starve children to achieve that perverse goal, they have made performative cruelty their political calling card."
Mike Johnson's lies keep getting lost in the facts
The shutdown is exposing the speaker's slimy disingenuousness.
