Earlier this year I was brought the original image to repair, along with the frame and glass. The client wished to retain what would have been the original Monochrome.

Abstract image of the sea and clouds. 4 frames Using a Lee Filters Super Stopper with the ISO & Aperture set for each frame to last 35 minutes. For each frame, the camera was mounted on a MoveShootMove star tracker sat horizontally on a tripod and direction was changed (north to south and vice versa) for each frame. Layered in Post to achieve some form of HDR toning and edited using CaptureOnePro. This image is titled "Endless Grey", because do the naked eye it just looked flat and bland, but the lengthy exposures managed to pull a bit of colour from the horizon to make it a bit more interesting. I'm sure there's probably an easier way to do things like this, but nowhere near as fun as repurposing a bit of kit, designed to do one thing, to do do something completely different.

A little before and after... A client recently brought us an image which had been "restored" but was unhappy with what had been done with the eyes (wrong colour and over sharpened), hair (too blonde), skin tone and the overall toning of the image. #Photography #PhotoRestoration #PhotoRepair #Devon
