For many people, this time of year can be challenging. Be gentle with yourself and those around you, take breaks, and be well this holiday season.

I am really looking forward to the end of this reality TV show. I wish we could change the channel or ignore all of them.
Can’t do that.
We owe our kids more.

And… not to be forgotten, he pardoned all of the Jan. 6 convicted criminals and most recently, a “drug lord, corrupt ex president”.

The world is upside down with this administration.

We 9the majority of people)see him and them.

It isn’t JUST about affordability, it is also about decency.
The classic Goebbels approach. In the period 1934-38, Germans were subjected to relentless stories about grotesque crimes committed by Jews, Poles and gypsies, all part of a carefully orchestrated campaign of demonization. And in 2025, Jonathan Greenblatt and the ADL approve of this message.
Fox & Friends and Pam Bondi are now sensationalizing specific instances of Somalis being charged with crimes in Minnesota to demonize the whole population

BARTIROMO: How is it possible that the Democrats have been able to rally around 'affordability' and make people think that's what they're focused on and not what Republicans are focused on?

HASSETT: It's just what happens sometimes when one political party has the media echoing what they're saying

I realize I do not trust anything my government says or does at this point.

I can no longer be “proud” to be from a country being run by a White Supremacy ideology with little regard for the law.

So, maybe this is how the minority group “proud boys” have felt about the prior administrations?
The American people hate Trump’s corruption — we simply can’t afford for Democrats to be seen as associating with or encouraging it in any way. A Democratic Party that wants to win back voters’ trust should use this pardon as an opportunity to criticize Trump’s open corruption and kick Cuellar out.
December 4, 2025 at 5:06 PM
Molly, do you think it is possible for the next Administration to create safety for the American people by ensuring that no one ever gets appointed to run anything at a high level for us again based on their looks, or rhetoric?

How can “we the people” require great qualifications be essential?
No person is illegal, except Habba who is working at her illegal job illegally
Breaking News: A federal court said that Alina Habba, a Trump-appointed lawyer, had been serving unlawfully as the U.S. attorney in New Jersey. She was neither confirmed by the Senate nor appointed by district trial court judges — the two traditional pathways.

Maybe they won’t recognize the Proud Boys they use to have in lock up (pardoned by you know who) given that they all cover their faces.

They can work with them now to attack people of color.

VERY FEW OF US want this for our country. I’d go so far as to say: if you do want this, get help. Soon
This explains so much of what we are seeing.
After years of struggling to find enough workers for some of the nation’s toughest lockups, the Federal Bureau of Prisons is facing a new challenge: Corrections officers are jumping ship for more lucrative jobs at ICE.

Often I wish we had people in positions of power who were able to have empathy for others even BEFORE something bad happens to them, or someone they care about.

I’m glad he got there… but why does it (so often) have to be that some people only learn by direct insult?

And… I’m just wondering about the 35K likes that he got for that ridiculous post.

Do you really think there are 35K people who imagine that he could declare that on his social channel and it would happen?

We have some work to do to educate all Americans about how our government and laws work. :(
The president is such a bumbling idiot he thinks tweeting out the word "hereby" a couple times on his white supremacist social media site is the same thing as making an actual law.

The only story here is the one about a mentally diminished, increasingly erratic president who thinks he's a king.
It should go without saying, but the president has no authority to do this, and anyone reporting the story needs to say as such.

He knew better and should lose his seat.

So sad, we need honorable people from healthcare who won’t cave to party politics!
Saying "vaccines are safe" is an irrelevant detail when you voted to hand all of the US government's health organizations over to someone who adamantly insists they are not.

Two days ago, the President of the United States called for the murder of Congressional officials, & we've just entirely moved on as a country. Total failure of every societal & political institution. We are not a serious country.
Just a reminder that it's nice the Mamdani thing went better than everyone expected, but Trump should still be immediately impeached & removed for unprecedented things that were once beyond the pale of American politics.
It's always hard to pick a worst day politically, but today the president called for the death of members of the opposition party, and the administration decided that people were being too hard on the swastika

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

Consequences…

Florida, many, many of us believe you could choose leaders that could actually balance intelligence and compassion with the rigors of running a state.

Most of us would like to come back to visit you sometime…
October 31, 2025 at 7:16 PM
Hah, if it sets the “senate on edge” then they haven’t been paying any attention.

Almost everything he does is just impulse, just like this.

We need a leader who is thoughtful, intelligent and purpose driven.

We can do so much better.

Very scary stuff.

Sen Schiff, with all due respect… would you PLEASE say the Republicans in Congress need to stop this.

If you continue to say “Congress” I think people who don’t follow closely are confused.

The Rs have the power to stop this…right?

Please be clear for all of us.
The largest war ship in the world has been moved to the Caribbean, along with other ships, bombers, amphibious vehicles and more.

That’s a lot of firepower to stop small vessels carrying drugs.

It looks a lot more like preparation for war.

Congress needs to get involved before it’s too late.

I've wanted to see more of this for a long time. And I'd love to know if there is any longitudinal data that could tell us whether the public has become less informed over the years.
I’ve been thinking a lot about a new kind of polling I’d like to see. We have polling that measures public opinion, which is obviously important, but I’d love to see a little more empirical work on public knowledge: what do voters know about politics and policy?

Not until the stock market falls precipitously…

America seems to be fueled on those of us in the market being able to make more & more money…

Wish there was a real push to elevate the needs of people, and not just the stock market.

Never, under this administration.

We all deserve better.
He is so obviously mad and unfit it's just incredible there isn't a national conversation about his need to step down.
Q: What did you mean when you said you're prepared to send 'more than the National Guard' into American cities?

TRUMP: if I want to enact a certain act, I'd be allowed to do whatever I want. The courts wouldn't get involved. Nobody would. I could send Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines -anybody I want

Listened to Timothy Synder speak in Portland last night.

One important point was that if people don’t envision a future for themselves, they turn back to a nostalgic time and pull societies into “rulers” who promise a return to a “better past”.

We can create a better future, tell that story!
