Silencing free expression allows Big Tech companies to curry favor with politicians and keep regulators at bay. There is no political or financial incentive for any Big Tech company to protect the speech of marginalized users and independent journalists.
The Disastrous Rollout of the Trump-Approved TikTok Serves as a Stark Warning for Us All
Big Tech platforms wield far too much power over our information landscape to continue operating without transparency.

About six years ago, Bobby Kotick’s name came up in Epstein’s “little black book.” It really was only a matter of time before we saw how deeply he associated with a sex trafficking nonce.

I wonder if he thinks this is worse for his dating life than the devil horn photoshops were.

And one of the first survivors to step forward to try to stop Epstein? A trans woman, who was promptly mocked and villified by the New York Post, New York Magazine, the courts and law enforcement.

I put “investors” in quotes because what they do isn’t investment. They’re not here to build or to fund, they’re looking to make money for nothing.

These days, they put money behind projects that are practically complete and already have plenty of resources. Cash cows, not investments.

The sheer swiftness of their response to Google’s newest proposal to conjure profits from fucking nothing tells you plenty about how little “investors” care about investing in anything. I doubt many of them even know what investment actually is.

They quite genuinely want to buy magic spells.

Self-styled investors are so risk averse they’ve circled around to making huge gambles on faint (and fantastical) promises of total risk elimination. So obsessed with free labor they’re paying the highest prices to get it.

We can ALL see it, but in true sucker fashion, they insist they know better.

For nearly 20 years I’ve witnessed game execs make the same mistakes, over and over, convinced they’ve got it right every time.

It should be *impossible* to learn as little as they’ve learned, to be exactly as dumb now as they were two decades ago. Yet… here we are.

Their arrogance is stunning.

Said it before, will say it always - for a bunch swindlers, executives & investors are the biggest marks going.

Naive fantasists who believe anything that validates their myopic prebaked view of reality. Unable to change, unwilling to learn. Marks.

They’re THE reason the industry’s suffering.

Auntie Kathleen raised my mother, they moved from Trinidad to Canada together in the 80s, and then Auntie raised me too. I'm doing everything I possibly can to help my family get her home safely. All of the details are on the gfm page, please share!
