Congress should do the responsible thing and extend enhanced PTCs now, to prevent massive coverage loss and ensure people like Kat, who don’t have an offer of employer coverage, can continue to afford coverage and get the health care they need. www.cbpp.org/research/hea...

Some policymakers say that that Congress can delay extending the Premium Tax Credit (PTC) enhancements until later this year but the problem is more urgent than that. thehill.com/policy/healt...

There is no time to delay. No one can afford premium hikes like this, and the solution--extending the premium tax credit enhancements--is clear.
Georgia’s 2026 ACA marketplace window shopping began October 1, meaning people are already seeing next year’s premiums spike because of expiring tax credit enhancements. A typical 60-year-old couple making $85,000 in Georgia will face a $24,900 increase in annual premiums. (1/4)

The Ways & Means budget proposal would prevent people granted asylum, refugee status, victims of trafficking, and more from buying affordable coverage on the #ACA marketplaces. Important thread from my colleague @shelbytgonzales.bsky.social:
The #ACA already bars people who don’t have a documented immigration status from marketplace coverage, but House Rs now want to go further and prevent groups of people in the US lawfully – ppl who pay taxes and do important work -- from health coverage too.

House Republicans are proposing cuts that will cause millions to lose Medicaid and #ACA marketplace coverage while proposing to spend more than $40 billion on HSAs that won't help people afford care. My colleague @gidlukens.bsky.social explains more ⬇️
The Ways and Means committee bill includes a slew of expansions of tax-advantaged health savings accounts – totaling more than $40 billion/10y – that mostly benefit high-income people and do nothing to address the problems people face affording care. www.cbpp.org/blog/five-re...

My colleague @brendanvduke.bsky.social unpacks what’s in the GOP tax bill and what’s conspicuously missing: extending tax credits that make #ACA marketplace coverage more affordable. Millions will lose coverage as a result.
New @centeronbudget.bsky.social analysis of the draft GOP tax plan released yesterday:

Unsurprisingly, it provides enormous tax cuts for the wealthy—including an average annual $65k cut for the top 1%—while doing little for low- and moderate-income families in 2027 (and even less by 2029).

When I was 17, I opened my first checking account w/a couple hundred bucks. I didn’t meet the min monthly deposit, so they kept charging fees until I owed them money. It stuck with me—I still won’t bank w/BofA.

There’s no upside to this move for anyone who isn’t rich—just cruelty for cruelty’s sake

Wisconsin, you deserve to have a highly competent justice who will uphold the state and US Constitution and not put their thumb on the scale of justice like Schimel would.
Watched the WI Supreme Court Debate. Democrat Susan Crawford demonstrated superior understanding of the law and cases. Republican Schimel loves an 1859 anti-abortion law, God 🙄and couldn’t remember facts of important WI cases. Vote for Crawford April 1 #Voices4Victory
