Absolutely an all-timer for me personally.

I'd be happy to share any insights I have. For my part I've been remixing this design from Openswords, in an effort to make something small and Messer-like, and maybe figure out a Thibault-style guard.

Never say that complaining out loud to no one is fruitless. The back catalog has arrived.

I spent a couple months this year prototyping a cheap 3d printed halberd head out of TPU so that everyone who wanted to could experience the difference it makes over quarterstaff, but we're super aware that when it comes to a 6ft stick, the trainer is the weapon.

One of our members this week paraphrasing Fiore: just go in, drop your sword. Grab 'em, they'll let ya.

Time to bust this one out again

I love pre-1960s American instruments. My first horn was a 1926 Buescher True-Tone alto, and I've been collecting since. My Holton Revelation 213 tenor is in the best shape in that its currently playable. Most things just need minor work but finding good technicians for old horns is hard.

My fighting knives are more modest but the degree to which I've been tempted to get a kriegsmesser to fight longsword... If it wasn't that I fight ambidextrously depending on circumstance I'd be seriously considering it.

If you see this post a sword.

Whoops sorry it's two swords. Er, knives. Messers. Anyway, Landsknecht Emporium knows how to make 'em, even if the Gunther is a bit too much to spar with.

True oldhead wisdom (31 this year) is realizing that the cheap Casio designs actually rule. For all I love mechanical stuff as art pieces these will live forever and if they don't, they'll always be available. Makes wearing the nicer stuff feel really special too.

This reminded me to check my mailbox, for I also bought it when I (re)read the review. I'm also very pleased that there's a digital copy from DTRPG that I wasn't aware would be included when I bought it.

A super premium case out of aluminum can help, as can building a mount for your board into the arms of your desk chair, but that's more than I ever wanted to do. Instead I focused in my preferred stagger and angle. -4° front to back, 20° from center line for each half, small enough to 3d print.

Happy 40s day! Here are a selection of my mechanical keyboards in the 40% form factor. Despite being small I, uh, need a bigger shelf for them all...

A classic, welcome back to the phone my old friend.

It's small comfort given... *Gestures broadly* but I like getting sidetracked on little projects. Most recent is in conversation with clubmates about splitting the shipping on some polearm heads, and instead wondering if I could print something. And then wanting to model it myself.

I build small boards to reduce fatigue, enforce better typing habits, and save space. Though I've collected more boards, so maybe that last one isn't true.

I'm glad other communities use this incredible image for their own. This is the mechanical keyboard communty's version.

Yeah this sounds about right. No one is expected to know everything, or be good at everything. But man I'm bad at so many things I love and I'd hate trying to turn the things I love into money.
