Elvis spent years working at a restaurant earning well below the minimum wage, while being subject to verbal abuse and discriminatory treatment. He and his coworkers showed tremendous courage when they came forward to demand justice.

The federal government is officially shut down, but this administration’s effort to scapegoat immigrants and proceed with their mass deportation crusade continues – despite the real facts and the demonstrated harm to the nation.

Most apple harvesters in upstate NY work from ladders. But a few farms use machine-drawn platforms like this. Workers must pick at the machines' faster pace. If they fall behind, they can get written up. Some machines have cameras to monitor workers' productivity. #WeFeedYou

Groceries costing more? It’s not just inflation.

"You can blame the admin's chaotic and destructive policies for the pain in your wallet," writes @tusk81.bsky.social

These mass deportation raids are gutting the farmworker workforce, leaving crops unharvested, and prices soaring.
Your Wallet Is Taking A Hit This Year. Blame Mass Deportation
The rapid growth in daily expenses for working Americans has been fueled in part by the administration’s cruel and chaotic mass detention and deportation agenda.

There's a narrative that U.S.-born-laborers don't take ag jobs because they're too spoiled for hard work. The truth is that Americans don't take those jobs because they're exploitative, underpaid, dangerous, and exempt from protections like overtime pay and workers comp.

We are outraged by the recent raid in Cato, NY. Shame on the Cayuga & Oswego county sheriffs for collaborating with ICE to tear families apart and wreak havoc on their own communities. We need #NY4All to end this disgraceful use of our tax dollars.

In 2015, after years of organizing✊🏽, home care #workers won federal #MinimumWage💵 & #overtime protections.

Now the #TrumpAdministration wants to roll them back through rule changes⚠️

H-2A workers are experiencing the same labor abuses as other low-wage workers, but quitting their job means they'll be deported and unable to provide for their families.

"'The notion that the federal government would use these operations for surveillance is entirely new territory.'

The affected contractors include faith-based groups & nonprofits such as the Salvation Army & the Red Cross, which states usually rely on to set up shelters & deliver basic assistance."
DHS moves to bar aid groups from serving undocumented immigrants
Disaster aid groups said the new contracts would make it harder for nonprofits to help the most vulnerable Americans in the aftermath of a disaster.

⚠️🔥 Food Workers are HOT and it's only getting hotter! But in the U.S. and Canada there are NO federal laws to protect workers from #ExtremeHeat. With little hope for an OSHA standard at this point (certainly not a strong one), we must support workers organizing!
Graphic featuring text laid over a close-up photo of a farmworkers' hands cutting greens. A caution sign in the corner of the graphic says "FOOD WORKERS ARE HOT" with a subtitle reading "HEAT PROTECTIONS NOW!" There is also the following quote: "The heat gives me very severe headaches that become unbearable, and I have to take painkillers. It makes me feel sad, anxious, causes nausea, vomiting, excessive sweating, and dizziness. I didn't feel such severe headaches until a few years ago, but when it gets really hot, the headaches become stronger and last all day. The painkillers help a little, but they don't eliminate the pain completely." The quote is attributed to: Greenhouse worker, Farmworker Association of FL
Quote on a red background, with a large flame licking up the side of the graphic. The quote reads: "Where I work is closed, and there is no air circulation. There are fans, but they only blow hot air instead of cooling the environment, which makes it stifling. With the humidity, it feels suffocating." The quote is attributed to Greenhouse Worker, Farmworker Association of Florida. The logo for the Farmworker Association of Florida is also pictured.
