Did the RCN just Datix the government and then go on a break?
We asked if 3.6% was enough. In record numbers, RCN members have said it is not.

You need to see reform to nursing pay that makes a difference. We’re finished fighting for scraps every year.

Ministers must use the summer to reach agreement that will deliver for nursing.

On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked,

"If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?"

I don't want a bigger Emergency Department.

I want a functioning social care system and a primary care service that can meet demand.

If we don't get that, the blockage in ED is going to get worse and more people are going to come to harm and die.

Sometimes senior NHSE leaders say things that accidentally reveal the biggest reasons why they can't fix major NHS problems. This speech from Steve Powis is an example:

‘A&Es will treat equivalent of half the population each year without reform’
Sir Stephen Powis has urged people to engage with the national conversation about the future of the health service.

Attendances have been rising gradually but consistently for years, so at any given moment attendances will always “have been some of the highest we have experienced”.
Can we just stop with the “high attendances” narrative - we are sick of it.
Call it what it is - EXIT BLOCK.

With respect, the voices missing from this, as from so much of the media discussions on this, are those of the terminally ill. I hope my husband’s letter to our MP, asking for support to die with dignity and love, will have more weight than those from folk who are not facing the shit choices he is.

Important context here:

● over half of farms are less than 49 acres (20 hectares)

● "a big farm" is 217 acres.

Now let's see who's angry:

● Clarkson farm is 1,000 acres
● Lloyd Webber farms 4,000 acres
● Viscount Rothermere (Mail owner) 4,700 acres
● Dyson owns 36,000 acres

Hi everyone.

The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.

We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website.

We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off.

I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.
The Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of Bankruptcy
The satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.
