During my visits to Poland and train journeys in various countries, I collected many images. I love trains. One can just disappear into the landscape. Nothing is permanent. Brains are beautifully blank, and the sense of rush is missing. So I made a book with @orangepress.bsky.social . Want one?

The U.S. seeks to obtain 50% of Ukraine's rare minerals and has signaled openness to deploy American troops to guard them if there is a deal with Russia to end the war, NBC reported on Feb. 15, citing unnamed American officials.

Eager to read this. Okamura's photography was amazing (thanks @hotelamnesia.bsky.social for introducing me to it). And the Troubles have such a history... Terrible but incredibly interesting and complex.
Delighted to share my latest article in this fab special issue, ‘Colour Troubles’, that investigates how photojournalism of The Troubles in NI intersects with colourisation and colour - with a special focus on Japanese photog Akihiko Okamura & recent exhib at Photo Museum Ireland

Some food for thought. As a person deeply embedded in the IT community, I observe this split of opinions and ideas firsthand. It's quite intellectually stimulating but also anxiety-inducing. Worth a read.

Every time I am thinking "never gonna do film again!", something like this happens: I make a few exposures on a medium format camera, I develop the film, and I wonder why I am even bothering with digital. And then I go back to digital. And then it happens again. LOL. Incurable. #photoLife

A lovely tribute to the work of one of my favourite photographers, John Blakemore, who passed away in January. Have a look.
Sad to hear of the passing of John Blakemore whom I had the privilege of listening to as he showed his work to a small group of undergraduates - a sincere and remarkable artist.
