Really don’t see this as a Chevy vs Arniel thing. They can’t afford to simply throw away a year of this aging core they’ve now dedicated term and money to. They’ll take stock at the Olympic break and near the deadline, but if they’re “close” I really doubt they’ll fold by then.

Surely won’t be abused by moneyed interests, and later by political parties more interested in unilateral powers than they are actually governing.

Someone hit publish too early on the NHL site and Jets site (but the Jets link has been taken down) - Heritage Classic confirmed for October 25, 2026 vs Montreal Canadiens

Maybe another game of 81-55-13 and more vets sprinkled in the bottom half of the forward lineup and defensive pairings will fix things

“We recognize that development in mature communities like this is difficult and when doing so, should consider pedestrian orientation - but: lol, lmao, who cares, it’s surface lots anyway and the only developments we will approve are car-oriented ones. Fuck em.”

Jets have been good, Wallstedt has been great, but Comrie has only been okay. Flurry chances at the crease is encouraging, and Toews line isn’t bleeding as badly, but it’s tough to find where the shooting talent kind of offence comes from beyond the first line and first PP unkt

A pretty open and back-and-forth 1st, Jets dominated in the 2nd (which is rare on its own), and then sat on the lead in the 3rd. Scoring PPGs is good and I’m glad they finally remembered how to do it. But make no mistake, it was a game between two bad teams.

CFL doesn’t like to have any big news stories that doesn’t involve the teams playing in the Cup, and I’m sure Wade Miller is busy with the whole festival altogether - so this is an interesting development

In 2024-25, they never were worse than -5 xG at 5v5 cumulative on the season - only got as low as -4.15 in December. Jets are now at -8.32 xG.

Seemed to always trying to be the second person in to win a puck battle, but you don’t add a third - especially below the goal line - and leave the inner slot wide open.
November 10, 2025 at 3:27 AM
A couple of pucks the dribbled to the edge of the net in the 1st period and in the flurry of chances at the end, but Jets essentially got severely outplayed the second half of the game. Arniel’s line blender did zilch. Too many players couldn’t keep up with SJS’s young guns when they pressed.
