When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

I’m so proud of these fellow Mississippians.
@maddow.msnbc.com , thank you for always recognizing citizens all over the country who are protesting Trump’s policies. I’m proud that I’m one of a group of Columbus, Mississippians, who protest regularly in front of Trent Kelly’s office. Mississippi is a purple state. Every Friday from I2-1 pm.

Well, we did have a glimpse of this type of behavior way back when he was running the first time. “Grab them by the p——.” Still the same guy.
This measured, dignified & statesmanlike response proves conclusively that he is a role model for our nation's youth & should counter the narrative that he is an impulsive, infantile, psychologically-damaged dimwit.

If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.
