"I DON'T NEED YOU TO FUCKING REWRITE WHAT I'VE JUST WRITTEN!"
Working on a shared world was so much fun, but the amount of coordination needed meant this anthology took almost four years from concept to publication. I wrote this short story in April of 2023, we revised as a group in the winter of 2024, and it's out today!
Surprise anthology release today!
Scott's planet is a shared world anthology about a colony abandoned on a world still in its Carboniferous period. That means giant bugs, no real trees, and a lot of wacky biology to play with.

A wild rough draft appears!
In today's #WritingabtWriting I turned last week's outline into text and discovered new details in the writing. How often do you discover something totally unexpected about your story in your first draft?

Spiral Story - Rough Draft 1
Rough draft time. My goal at this stage is to get words on paper, whether that's in a notebook or digitally.

Welcome, new followers. Please add alt text to the images you post. What is alt text? Glad you asked:
A brief thread on alt-text.
Alt text is descriptive text that conveys the meaning of an image. It's designed to make visual content accessible to people with vision disabilities. When a person uses assistive technology such as a screen reader, the screen reader will read the onscreen text aloud 1/7
