I'm always amused by the breathless "Typescript is useless because there are no types in Javascript!" arguments. There are no types in assembly language, but that doesn't stop Haskell or Rust from being excellent languages.

Upside to nix: I copied and pasted 4 lines in my config file, changed 1 word, typed one command, and in about 3 minutes I will have a fully-configured computer exactly as I want it.

NixOS isn't really targeted at normies ... but it should be.
