The 24 Hours of Lemons is an endurance race with a twist: The cars cost less than $500, and costumes are unlimited. A recent race saw a Toyota Yaris painted like a snail, and a team dressed as bees.
Race car drivers turn lemons (and $500) into an endurance contest like no other

It’s the same story with acid rain.

“Ooo, what happened with that ‘acid rain’ scare that happened in the 70’s and 80’s??”

Uh, international accords requiring sulfur dioxide scrubbers on fossil fuel-burning plants, emissions standards for vehicles, and ultra low sulfur for road diesel fixed it…?

While we're all in "Fuck Bezos" mode, two things you've probably heard before:

1) Shop local instead of through Amazon

2) For books, set your local bookshop at Bookshop dot org, and buy through there to get them a nice chunk of change:

bookshop.org/pages/bookst...
Bookshop.org: Store Locator
Discover local and indie bookstores in the United States. Choose your favorite bookstore to support with your order. They'll receive the full profit from your purchase.

Every artist I know is really struggling right now. Financially, emotionally, their confidence, in general.

If you like an artist's work, support them any way you can. Buying their stuff or subscribing to their Patreon is great, but words of encouragement are also incredibly helpful.
