Just another person escaping the X binfire. Left wing, and most of the assumptions you’ve just made about that are true. He/him. Otrovert.
Highly unscientific obviously, but the Manchester evening news Facebook post about their hustings in Gorton and Denton has been up for 14h, and the reactions will make good reading for @greenparty.org.uk

I’m disinclined to take on board tye opinion of someone who thinks this is clever.

Stephen is now threatening to sue me because I said his article wasn’t very good and that the “waffles” thing was idiotic:

The ultimate bait and switch.
February 9, 2026 at 8:46 PM
Okay. Will these do too? See if you can find any where he speaks at other party’s events. You know, for balance?
February 9, 2026 at 7:29 PM
What about these other occasions? Has he ever done it with other parties?
February 9, 2026 at 6:31 PM
Yes, I have leafleted too. They often feature public quotes from academics, newspapers, commentators and the like. At the time they were printed, no objection had been made by Rob. The use of his quote is fully within the rules, but he’s a Labour supporter so he didn’t like it.
February 9, 2026 at 6:30 PM
It’s this subsequent whine, criticising the Green Party for not instantly pulping or burning these leaflets after two days or so that is partisan pearl clutching by a Labour stooge trying to score points for his favourite party.
February 9, 2026 at 6:10 PM
You can, because it’s his publicity shot. It’s a picture of the person who said the quote. He’s just cross because he works on behalf of Labour.
February 9, 2026 at 5:51 PM
It clearly isn’t, and both your partisanship and his are showing. He made a public statement, on this topic which was then quoted using a picture of him to illustrate, and he doesn’t like it because he actively backs your party instead.
February 9, 2026 at 5:50 PM
These leaflets will already have been printed and given to leafleters by the time Labour fringe event speaker Rob Ford complained.
February 9, 2026 at 5:37 PM
I really do. Here’s Rob’s image in another context.
February 9, 2026 at 5:32 PM
He is not non-partisan. Every single person on this Labour fringe event platform, for example, is Labour aligned; two MSPs, a former senior adviser to a Labour shadow cabinet member and someone who runs a politics website “For the many, not the few.” But I’m sure Rob is unique …
February 9, 2026 at 5:23 PM
Ugh.
February 9, 2026 at 5:11 PM
@robfordmancs.bsky.social is saying he blocked me, so just in case…
February 9, 2026 at 5:07 PM
Really?
February 9, 2026 at 5:05 PM
I wonder why “impartial” professor Rob Ford is so cross about the Green Party quoting him on their election literature. Is it because he is worried he won’t be asked to come and speak at Labour fringe events again?
February 9, 2026 at 5:04 PM
Rob, as I’ve already argued, is full of crap and is a Labour stooge.
February 9, 2026 at 4:44 PM
Yeah. I wonder which party the politicians he shared this platform are from. Had he shared a platform with Greens? Tories? Reform? Lib Dems? No?
February 9, 2026 at 4:44 PM
I’m sure he didn’t object to his image being used for that. Or his name in association with Labour for this:
February 9, 2026 at 4:39 PM
Fucking LOL
February 9, 2026 at 4:36 PM
Smashing, comrades…
February 7, 2026 at 4:54 PM
It’s just a big, funny game to all of them.
February 7, 2026 at 12:18 PM
Christ this is desperate, and reads like a starstruck 14yo begging her favourite member not to leave a boy band.

Utterly embarrassing, Lucy Powell.
February 6, 2026 at 11:38 PM
Nah.
