Earlier this summer, incredible volunteers contended with bad weather to replace the “Pont des Lutins” on Trail 68.
Thank you to Ottawa Hiking and the Ottawa Mountain Biking Association for their literal and figurative heavy lifting. 💪

Our client was cycling outside of Ottawa, next thing he knew he was in the ER w major injuries. @ottawapolice.bsky.social interviewed the driver (not our client) who said our client came up from behind & cut in front of her at an intersection. Their report blamed the cyclist for the crash 1/3

Not mentioned is the fact that the Col By Drive is no longer closed to cars on Sundays at all. It used to be "active use only" from 0900-1300 hrs every Sunday. That means there is no biking Sunday for anyone in south #Ottawa any more at all.
