I was exposed to new communities that I was able to collaborate and make cool stuff with! I think that's the biggest plus, but in addition to that, making assets for social media really got me playing around with a/v production and using it to contribute to existing places I enjoy.

This is a neat idea, especially as modern MP ports have an array of settings that are considered "standard" but are not necessarily implemented in GZDoom, it might give a bit of breathing room that way

This is exciting! A GZDoom netcode update has been a long time coming. It looks and feels great from tests so far, and I am looking forward to putting it through some PvP tests when the update drops!

A look at the new front-end for the upcoming GZDoom 4.15. Better multiplayer is a big focus in this new version (gigantic rewrites under-the-hood single-handedly done by GZDoom dev @boondorl.bsky.social ) and a designated Multiplayer tab has been added to enhance the user experience

GZDoom 4.15 is going to be a chonker. Like seriously. This is possibly the biggest engine update yet since the introduction of ZScript in 2017.

Massive netcode update. Significantly improved joystick/gamepad controls and feel. IQM model bone scripting. TONS upon TONS of new modding features
