Quite a few. I knew nothing when I started, I just tried doing things as best as I could. Since then I have studied a lot of art theory, learned new tools, tried to improve myself. But I had no training at all, I just liked drawing for games!

I am rational enough to understand that crop circles are not celestial keys to unlocking forgotten arcane knowledge, but romantic enough to imagine a world in which they are.

I do not think I could elucidate on how this change happened. I think the more time you spend doing something, the more opinions and fine details you will bring to that thing. For me it happened organically as much as it did through applied study and experimentation.

When I was small I did not daydream about jetpacks, flying cars or space travel. I daydreamed about crop circles, arcane alphabets, secret places, Gods hidden in nature. I think that's why I'm making an adventure game.

Honestly, the best way to make an artist’s day is by being very specific about what you like about a piece. Geek out a lil. Gush over how they use line, color, texture. Every mark is layed down by the artist, so if you can connect with those little moments, it helps the artist feel seen.
