I feel pretty good about this as a configuration file schema for a program that bridges between MQTT servers using a variety of different protocols (including MQTT itself). The idea would be to allow fallbacks such as mesh networking when a TCP/IP connection isn't available.

Thanks, I absolutely fucking hate it.

Went to CVS for a prescription, and like... every time I have to go there, even more of the store is blocked off. This time it was 12-packs of soda and all alcohol.

Wasn't looking for either, but did want a snack. Turns out they were also "testing" the […]

No, I don't think I will.

Seriously, though, fuck off.

From there, `@dataclasses.dataclass(frozen=True)` makes for a nice way of deserializing config files and working with them in a Python-ic way.

As always, using KDL makes for a very legible config file. I could have made the server more special purpose, but it seemed reasonable to generalize it just a little bit.

I said my piece about Mozilla's newest adoption and promotion of fashtech in the form of AI. Please consider saying your piece as well. They might not listen, but perhaps the next open source project considering fashtech may see this reaction and think twice. […]

Last night I posted* a link to this indie electronics product, called BYOK, for "bring your own keyboard."

Today, I looked again, and saw something that horrified me.

Hey, so remember when I said continuing to use Windows may one day no longer be a choice? I don't think that day is here quite yet, not for everyone, but if you work with any kind of sensitive data it sure got a lot closer […]

For reasons, I was looking for a "don't feed the squirrels" sign to post outside, and happened to run across this in a shop's inventory. I don't know why, but it struck me as very funny, and I figured a few of you all might find it amusing as well.

To be clear, this is after two attempts. The first one was killed when I accidentally clicked outside the modal dialog, which somehow means "cancel and erase everything I've entered so far." The second one just returned "unknown message."

So... um. Why the rate limit?
