made my very first dress today - used patterns for the bodice (friday bateau top by friday pattern co) and the pockets (rosery apparel). the skirt is just a basic gathered skirt. #garmentsewing

i just finished making my first skirt using my preferred method of learning a new craft - "watch a few videos, read a couple blog posts, grab the supplies, and figure it out. no pattern needed"!
it's far from perfect (messy and too big), but i learned a LOT and i had a LOT of fun!! #garmentsewing
