the wipeout games (sans fusion) are as close as they'll ever get to sci-fi anti grav sim racers (even with weapons, that's a part of its fiction part. plausible speculative fiction), which is why none of the comparisons, superficial or otherwise, to f-zero make any sense to me.

i'm at the all-phantom class grid in wipeout hd now and my strict adherence to "all timed events must be done on elite difficulty" is starting to kick my ass by sometimes 0.01 seconds

i fully believe that professional backgammon player sammy salazar's claims re: his involvement with metroid prime are because he has been seething about rob and sean from autechre getting in that game's special thanks for almost making the soundtrack at least 3 times a week since 2001

dawg im seeing that right before this happened they put drivers for some old ati cards (this is not me making a mistake because i am "old" and keep calling all radeon cards ati) in the kernel all those decommissioned crypt*miner rtx cards are going to get driver support pulled in like 6 years. bet

wired: replacing GPU in order to not have to go to the fucking AUR every time you need to update your computer now apparently (certainly ain't gonna be nv-d-a ever again, ever)

If you feel a little underwhelmed by the big reveal being Space Invaders, it's worth remembering just how vital that game is to... well, all of this.

switching the pad handler from SDL to evdev has completely solved this (unless it starts happening again, but i did like 45 total laps without having any input woes so far)

i guess if you're being used by the stockholm syndrome computer agent switch from SDL to xinput unless using a sony controller
its a held input once every like 10-15 laps instead of at least once, usually twice per lap. more concerned with getting the few flacs to mp3 and shortening the filenames none get skipped (unlike what was happening on the flash drive i had w/ ps4, where the files are actually getting messed up)

I once attended a will․i․am New Year's Eve performance in Vegas. He played a bunch of Black Eyed Peas songs from his iPod while occasionally adlibbing "yeah" on the mic. He missed midnight because he was in the middle of a song and then tried to convince the crowd to do a countdown at like 12:02.

honestly the best difference between hd fury on ps3 and in omega collection is that omega collection has a sound for sideshifting

got the modded version of pure+pulse on my vita &
1) both games look better there than on ppsspp, and input lag is about the same
2) still has an awful deadzone on the analog controls, dpad genuinely feels better to use. maybe the psp's nub is different? still might consider getting a psp eventually
