went to a poetry open mic night to rep support my writer friend, and recited something i wrote 10 years ago that's cringe because its about depressive hedonism and there's even a vampire metaphor in there, but a 45 year old anarchist called it "visionary". "really takes you to a world" 😳

i miss my grandma. while she never framed it this way, she was the only family member that identified me as "special needs" (my 1st cousin had a worse version; that was enough for the family) and chose me as her favorite for reasons that included those aspects of me. haven't found this in adulthood
