It feels like the longer you spend not masking, the harder it is to get back on the train in certain situations.
I literally tell my brain “your face should be making a genuine, pleasant smile so you don’t creep them out with a flat affect” and instead some sort of facies mortis comes out instead

Maybe it’s my terrible memory, but I weirdly remember Halo being a series about Master Chief putting aside his differences with an alien race to ultimately survive against an existential threat coming for everyone.
