It feels worth saying that the thing that unifies men as disparate as Noam Chomsky, Deepak Chopra and Trump is patriarchy. Patriarchy, hatred of women, and the need to dominate them, persists across race and class status. Left movements refuse a robust analysis of persisting gender violence.

It's incredible how effective transphobia is as a litmus test for SO many issues. Every time I find a new pro-surveillance tech stooge, they're transphobic. I think people need to understand how tightly the belief that the internet is turning everyone trans is bound up w mass surveillance efforts

I am not kidding btw, they literally believe Instagram is turning kids trans and this is a primary reason why they want to ban anyone under the age of 18 from accessing the internet. They also want to track and surveil adults to target LGBTQ people. This is what these "online safety" laws are about
