I appreciate those out there protesting at great risk to their lives however i think the nation needs to grind this economy to a dead stop.
It's something everyone can do safely. No spending on ANYTHING but absolute necessities.
I understand some shut ins can not do this but very many of us can.

This is why I object to the framing of "good person who didn't deserve to be shot in the street" because it positions the problem as who was shot not that the shooting happened at all. ICE has shot almost 100 people since 2015, and even if we only count fatalities 31 people have died from shootings
The killings of Renee Good & Alex Pretti show Trump's DHS culture is rotten to its core.
Trump, Vance, Noem, & Miller have made these agents feel immune from the consequences of their actions.

You see, people have attempted to convince us that words do not matter; yet even in saying this, they convey meaning and give order. This rhetoric is used by those in cognitive dissonance as an attempt to discredit the educated and self aware person.

I wonder what history will point to as the so called tipping point, or flash point, in America. The moment where everything failed and fundamentally changed. But I believe what is happening, does not stem strictly from my lifetime nor my parent’s lifetime.

You could actually structure your moral code around the idea that law enforcement doesn't exist to execute people. You don't have to create perfect victim narratives, you can just refuse to accept that the state gets to kill people.

Marylanders have witnessed this cruelty in our own communities – during a school drop-off in Salisbury and in Glen Burnie on Christmas Eve. These are not isolated incidents.

Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

This is such an important point. That 5-year-old and his dad should never been detained in the first place! That's because they were already in the system and going through the legal process to seek asylum — and their arrest was seemingly just to juice ICE's numbers.
This kid and his father entered via CBP One app. It's just absurd and monumentally unfair for people who availed themselves of lawful channels when they existed by following government processes to suddenly get detained and deported to a third country.
