While there is a solid case to be made for this statement, the implication "their candidates getting in is a bad thing" is clearly false in the vast majority of cases, since in those cases the D candidate not getting in means the R candidate does get in, and they're even worse.

In Silicon valley over break and have to say this place makes no sense. Its like one big suburb with blah strip miles and low slung commercial "historic" "downtowns."
