Last night I told my cat that Christmas was cancelled for the rest of the night (meaning for a few hours we would stop doing Christmas stuff) and she started purring so loudly. 😂

This brought me much-needed holiday cheer!

This is a book! You wrote a book about Alfred Hitchcock.

Nobody stops at stop signs in my neighborhood and every time we avoid a collision it’s because *I* slammed on the brakes when it was my right of way. The world is doing everything we can to stop these people from crashing and they think the lack of crashing is because of their talent and skill.

Oh and IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE is my favorite movie, period, so I never think of it as a Christmas movie even though it is. I just rarely watch it at Christmas!

And ALWAYS SUNNY is the funniest Christmas thing ever with absolutely the sweetest final scene.

GREMLINS, HOME ALONE and TBCPE are just the ultimate Christmas experiences in my opinion, like they’re dripping with Christmas. Like the movie versions of walking through the snow into a kitchen where someone is baking gingerbread.

BATMAN RETURNS is incredible in how it captures that quiet lonely feeling that can hit in the last week of the year, and it’s got a surprising amount of cheer for how gloomy it is. I think maybe because the freaks find each other? Just a lovely movie.

APARTMENT and HOLDOVERS are just really good movies with a Christmas accent, but emphasis on the “really good!” DIE HARD is the best “getting home for Christmas” plot ever (honorable mention to the HAWKEYE TV series, but that goes on too long to make the list).

The rest of my faves are HOME ALONE, BATMAN RETURNS, BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER, DIE HARD, THE HOLDOVERS, THE APARTMENT, and the Christmas episode of ALWAYS SUNNY.

I don't need my tools to think on my behalf; I need them to do exactly what I tell them to do, right away.

Not even the fifth most important thing to note about Puff Daddy at this point but it bothers me that we never discuss it.
