MJF is getting the strap coz he's a draw + has Hollywood buzz. That's not a fun reason and even as a giant MJF fan it seems hotshotted and as though it doesn't fit the greater continuity.

doesn't help that six years in, the audio quality still kinda stinks and a lot of weeks there's loads of feedback in the drums making them sound stuttery and bad

Regardless of if you think WWE is just bad at creative in good faith or if you think they're deliberately sabotaging former AEW stars... one thing is for sure: proclaiming your desire to be there in public and taking less money to do so is probably not the move if you want to be booked well.

WWE's constant effort to make AEW seem comparable to NXT and not the main roster has really worked out well.
