Today is the deadline to submit the EGU abstract, looking forward to seeing you!

we're back again with our EGU session on vegetation responses to global change, in Vienna next year at #EGU25! We like submissions at different scales. Hope to see you there (with an abstract submitted 😜) meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU25/sessio...
An advert for the EGU session 'Vegetational Functional Responses to Global Change Across Multiple Methods and Scales'.The background picture is a mixed coniferous forest and the EGU 2025 logo and EDI log are displayed prominently.
The text reads: As the terrestrial biosphere moves into states without a present climate analogue, we need mechanistic understanding of ecosystem processes and their linkages with ecosystem function. This session brings togther scientists interested in advancing our fundamental understanding of ecosystem processes. We welcome studies on a range of scales, from greenhouse and mesocosm experiments to large field manipulative experiments, remote sensing studies, and modelling. We encourage contributions of novel ideas and hypotheses in particular those from early stage researchers and hope this session can create an environment where such ideas can be discussed freely.

Two important updates for our session: 1) wonderful "vegetation response examples" (Background images) updated by Camille Abadie and 2) wonderful keynote speaker in our session: Arthur Gessler @arthurobuntspecht.bsky.social . Very looking forward 😃🎊🥂:

I'm hiring! 2+2 year postdoc position on forecasting plant defence and resilience to pathogens.

Why are some plants better at defending themselves and can we model it? What role does the environment play? And how can we use all the data we have?

Deadline 13/01.
