i get around this by blocking every single resist lib, bot account, etc who follows me. ever vigilant
The thing about follower counts is that I think there’s a certain ratio of “number of followers” vs “people who actively *follow* you.” I haven’t crunched my nonsense numbers obviously but it seems like 10k people is actually just around 100 people who regularly engage with what you do.
