have you tried sending someone a gmail or an instagram message with the japanese word in it cause that is usually enough for the algorithms to start shoving something down my throat — /not that they are all spying/

Going on a search engine and finding a good set of examples and synthesizing those yourself is the old fashioned way.

So, yeah, it can sort of be a shortcut to a global zeitgeist. With all the known bias dangers, of course.

The one thing an LLM can do is spit out the synthesis of the sentiment of its training set. I mean that is its whole thing, right.

If you want to know how most people would write something that an LLM is heavily trained on, it will definitely tell you.

Some thoughts after looking at Sora 2’s output.

I think it's going to kill short-form video as we know it. Its very existence undermines any expectation of information or authenticity.

And the remote exploit they also mention, while serious, is not confirmed in the wild.

I read the details, and it doesn’t seem like a very high risk exploit.

Sora 2 only just came out, and already the videos are everywhere all the time.

But also, the fact that they made a copyright and trademark violating machine and are getting away with it is what makes me reach for my tinfoil.

So this Unity vulnerability post seems to say:

1. Locally, it can only be exploited by an installed malicious app (but at that point you were already pwned)

2. Remote exploit for specific apps with specific URL handlers — yikes, but so far unconfirmed in wild
