The best way to understand the absurd distortion of a Mercator Projection is to show Antarctica fully to the South Pole. Brazil is highlighted on the map. Antarctica is less than twice the size of Brazil.

I expected Cat Macario to win this year based on pure productivity. She averaged a goal contribution per game (10 in 10) and doubled the goal tally of her next closest teammate. It’s hard to argue against her for the top spot, other than Coffey and Fox whose contributions are further downfield.

2026 NWSL Competition Calendar is up. One change since the "2026 Schedule Footprint" announcement in July is Decision Day has been shifted from the weekend of October 31st-1st to October 24th-25th. Two weeks off to the NWSL Quarterfinals and no FIFA windows affecting the postseason.

This is random: but there can't be a better plant with worse branding than diarrhenia. The genus refers to the plant having two stamens. It's a native plant, performs well in urban conditions, but it's not readily sold in any nursery. Just throwing that into the online ether this morning.
