How I’m interpreting it: removing ratings anchor Orlando from the Finals equation did wonders to viewership.
The NWSL final between the Spirit and Gotham on CBS averaged 1.184 million viewers, making it the first game over the million mark and the most watched game in league history.
Up 22 percent from last year’s final, which averaged 967,900. That’s a solid jump.

Also it’s kind of *not* a once in a lifetime opportunity? I assume KC will get hosting rights to the 2031 Women’s World Cup unless this summer is a complete disaster.
I really don’t know what to do re: World Cup tickets. I feel like I have to as it’s literally a once in a lifetime opportunity to have games down the street from me.
But everything surrounding it is odious. This CR7 stuff is just another layer of it.

It will be the cost of a nice weekend trip to attend a World Cup match in KC. I could just as easily use that money to see the Current play in Portland or DC.

This is what had me gathering everyone in the household to witness again. They all reacted the same way as me. Just a stunning save off one of the most creative long shots I've seen.

I think an NCAA coach that's demonstrated some great tactical acumen and an ability to connect with players could be a great KC Current head coaching option.
