As an #ActuallyAutistic person, I don't struggle with misophonia as much as I see others do, but I do struggle with misokinesia (the visual version). The worst part for me is I get targeted ads that trigger it and which usually can't be avoided.

Pretty sure I just walked in to my dad's house in the middle of my sister complaining about trans people. It's been four years since I've seen my sister. Guess that was too soon.

One of my favorite pieces of prose is the origin of "for whom the bell tolls" by John Donne.

The biggest difficulty for me in transferring to bluesky is trying to remember why I blocked someone. Were they simply extremely uninteresting and I was curating my feed or were they bigots or were they directly attacking me or...?

Anytime I inadvertently say a double entendre I think of that old trend where people would solicit phrases you say at [blank] that also work in bed.
That was such a fun trend. It was like a puzzle joke which are the best kind of jokes.

They're still worth pointing out. But they won't be held accountable unless they're losers or lizard tails.

I've always been interested in astrology in similar ways as I am in mythologies. Yet, I always feel pretty similar pangs of disappointment when I find out someone is invested in astrology as I do when I find out they're invested in some mythology (read as: religion).

Echolalia is fine but sometimes it's so intrusive I cannot function and get caught up in parroting back everything I hear. Especially if I hear a voice or accent I think I can mimic that's different enough from normal to catch my attention it's a severe problem 🙃 /half-serious

I believe any bigoted "ism" (such as ableism and racism) are ultimately a collective attempt at justification for why cruelty to those people are "OK". It is an attempt to deny our similarities as humans to shield ourselves from the pain of empathy.
