One of the things that still drives me nuts a lifelong Star Wars fan is hearing people saying they hated how J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson turned Luke Skywalker into a failure. What these guys don’t know is that the failure of Luke wasn’t their idea, it was George Lucas’. They just ran with it.
